We have been doing Pie n Mash on a Thursday evening for six years now at Shepherds Hall during the summer months and they are still as popular as ever. We get locals, holiday makers, people who even book their holidays around the dates for Pie n Mash and pre theatre groups. Booking is required and you let us know which pie you would like when you book.
The pies are made with the best meat from our local butcher Ford's of Glaisdale, who supply us with all our meat. Wendy makes the short crust pastry, Gill cooks the pies and Martin mashes the potato; simple as that (I wish!!)
Steak, Chicken & Mushroom, Mince & Onion, Homity, Corned Beef & Potato, Turkey & Ham are just a selection of pies that we choose to do. Puddings are a speciality of ours including Fresh Cream Meringues, Sticky Toffee Pudding, Cream filled Brandy Snaps, Profiteroles, Lemon Sponge & custard, Banana Split and Chocolate Nut Sundae depending on how much time we have during the day to make these!
