Well Mothering Sunday was a success, very busy and the weather was great in Lealholm, although a little foggy on the tops I believe.
We are on count down till Thursday 3rd April when we will be open every day till sometime in October. It sounds a long stretch but with a good team and plenty of planning I'm sure we will all be fine. We have Ruth, Grace, Sam and Emily along with two new members joining the team Sophie and Jack. It sounds a lot of staff but with Summer holidays, staff holidays, running in and out to the Tea Gardens, up and down the steps we all need as much help as possible!! We have bought some new garden furniture for the Tea Garden and outside the front of the Tea Rooms so we really need the sun to shine over the next few months. Reading in the papers the weather people reckon we might be in for a lovely Summer, but hey, who knows, definitely not them!!
We have once again been out buying vintage furniture so we have plenty in stock for the Summer when we can't get out as much. We went to a sale at Whitby last week but "stuff" seemed to be going for silly prices. Everybody it seems is into buying a bit of old furniture to "paint up".
