We had the Environmental Health Officer visiting us at the start of the week. I am glad to say everything was in order and we received the top score of 5 on the food hygiene rating scheme, which we are both very proud of.
We have had locals, tourists, children, old friends and work mates visit us in these last few weeks and its been great to see you all!! Everybody has been very complimentary on how we have got the Tea Rooms looking, they say the cakes are not too bad also!! Its interesting to speak to the older folk who know a bit history about Shepherds Hall, telling us how they used to play badminton here and have dances. . . . . We have had our biggest group in so far, even had to move tables together! A family gathering of seven people from Guisborough, Middlesbrough, Masham and was it Southampton? Pictured below with their tea and taster plates
Good Friday morning arrived wet and rather miserable. Hey ho crack on, cakes to bake, scones to mix and lots of other little jobs to do. We didn't really get going till 12.30pm when as always seems to happen all the customers arrived at the same time!! . . . .steady trickle all afternoon from then on. Looking forward to a busy weekend hopefully. Deciding wether to bake some meringues, decisions decisions. . . .
