Today has been a glorious day at Lealholm, not that we've seen much of it....... just what we've been told!! The morning was slow, probably due to the fact that in the surrounding areas the mist hadn't lifted but lunchtime and the afternoon proved busy. It was nice to see the walkers from The Moor and Mountain Walking Club from Leicestershire who took a well earned break at Shepherds Hall including the dog ( sorry we don't know her name) who just loved ice cream!
This is above the entrance to our Tea Rooms. A lot of history here. The Loyal Order of Ancient Shepherds is nowadays known as the Shepherds Friendly Society offering mortgages and savings accounts!! Wonder if they'll give me a mortgage!!!!
We're going to need considerably bigger buns!!! Our first weekend was a brilliant success with lots of positive feedback from locals and visitors. One of the best comments from a customer was "I opened the door and what a lovely surprise." It was hard work and very tiring but very worthwhile. All the hard work put in over the winter was easy compared to now being open!!!
A view of our comfy area with the Crafts in the background. Check out the Tiffany lamp shade. We are working hard to get everything in order for our opening day on Friday 16th March. Today the weather has been glorious, the sun shining and lots of people around, lets hope its the same next weekend. Planted some sunflower seeds today and have put them in our greenhouse, never had a greenhouse before, how exciting. Cant wait to grow my seeds and plant them out.
